Job Description
A leading food manufacturing company in Kenya is seeking a highly competent and experienced Senior Laboratory Officer to lead and manage laboratory operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in laboratory management, with at least 8 years of experience in a food laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and technical skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective laboratory management systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science/Technology, or a related field
- • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a food laboratory environment
- • Proven experience in ISO/IEC 17025 LMS implementation, audit management, and documentation control systems

Responsibilities
- • Plan, organize, and supervise daily laboratory operations and testing schedules
- • Ensure timely testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water, and environmental samples
- • Develop, implement, and maintain Laboratory Management Systems compliant with ISO/IEC 17025 standards
