Job Description
The Project Accountant will oversee all financial aspects of a major construction project, ensuring integrity, compliance, and accountability throughout the lifecycle. The role involves providing accurate financial reporting, budget control, and risk management for timely and on-budget delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Finance Officer, Project Director, and Project Commercial Manager to achieve these goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- • Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role
- • Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Establish cost baselines and implement budget control to monitor committed, actual, and forecasted costs
- • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations
- • Forecast cash flow and manage funding disbursements with the project team
- • Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts to support liquidity planning
- • Identify liquidity needs early and support treasury planning
