Job Description

The Project Accountant will oversee all financial aspects of a major construction project, ensuring integrity, compliance, and accountability throughout the lifecycle. The role involves providing accurate financial reporting, budget control, and risk management for timely and on-budget delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Finance Officer, Project Director, and Project Commercial Manager to achieve these goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • • Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role
  • • Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA

Responsibilities

  • • Establish cost baselines and implement budget control to monitor committed, actual, and forecasted costs
  • • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations
  • • Forecast cash flow and manage funding disbursements with the project team
  • • Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts to support liquidity planning
  • • Identify liquidity needs early and support treasury planning
