Job Description
We are seeking a quantity surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, and will be responsible for managing construction projects, conducting site surveys, and providing support to staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • s & Experience Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. At least 2–4 years of experience in quantity surveying, ideally in security/infrastructure fencing, construction, or related civil works. Proficient with cost-estimating software and MS Office tools. Responsibilities
- • BOQ & Tender Preparation: - Prepare Bills of Quantities for electric fencing, shade netting, razor wire, mesh, installation, gate fabrication/automation, etc. - Draft tender documents, including technical specifications and cost schedules. Cost Estimation & Control: - Estimate material, labor, and equipment costs based on site surveys and design specifications. - Monitor and control project budgets and expenditures to ensure profitability and value-for-money. Procurement & Contract Administration: - Support procurement of materials and subcontractors. - Manage contracts, variations, claims, payment schedules, and final account closures. Cost Reporting & Forecasting: - Regularly prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial assessments for management review. Site Visits & Stakeholder Coordination: -Conduct site inspections to verify work progress and compliance with specifications. - Coordinate with architects, engineers, project teams, and clients for cost-related issues and approvals. Risk Management & Value Engineering: - Identify cost risks, propose cost-effective solutions, and implement value-engineering measures. - Assess financial implications of design or scope changes.
