Job Description
The Director of Investment leads the Heavy Industries Desk, overseeing investment sourcing, due diligence and portfolio management for heavy‑industry assets. The role involves evaluating opportunities, negotiating terms and guiding a team of analysts to deliver value‑creating transactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Extensive experience in investment banking, private equity or corporate finance, preferably focused on heavy‑industry assets
- • Strong track record of sourcing, executing and managing transactions
- • Excellent financial modeling, valuation and analytical skills
- • Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Identify and evaluate investment opportunities within the heavy‑industry sector
- • Lead due‑diligence processes, including financial modeling, risk assessment and valuation
- • Negotiate transaction terms and structure deals in line with the firm’s investment criteria
- • Manage a portfolio of existing investments, monitoring performance and implementing value‑creation plans
- • Supervise and mentor junior investment professionals and analysts
- • Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees
