Job Description
The Welder will perform metal cutting, welding, and fabrication tasks, ensuring high‑quality welds that meet specifications and safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • KCSE (Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education)
- • GTT III, II & I in Welding and Fabrication or a Technical Certificate/Diploma/Higher Diploma in Welding
- • Minimum three years of proven welding experience
- • Ability to set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment safely
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Cut, clean, and align metal components before welding
- • Perform MIG, TIG, arc, and gas welding processes as required
- • Set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines and tools
- • Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy against standards
- • Repair damaged metal parts and fabricate new structures
- • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and use protective equipment
- • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- • Record daily and monthly consumable usage and maintain equipment logs
