Job Description
The Account Manager – Smartphones drives growth of Tugende’s smartphone portfolio by recruiting agents, acquiring customers, and managing the loan lifecycle. The role is responsible for meeting sales targets, overseeing portfolio performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or equivalent in Business or related field.
- • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, micro‑finance, or consumer finance, preferably with smartphone financing.
- • Demonstrated ability to lead sales and manage an agent network.
- • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑management skills.
- • High integrity, accountability and transparency.
- • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- motorcycle riding is an advantage.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Recruit and onboard smartphone agents and manage the agent network.
- • Acquire new customers and oversee the disbursement of smartphone loans.
- • Monitor portfolio performance, collect repayments, and ensure low delinquency rates.
- • Drive monthly and annual smartphone sales to meet revenue targets.
- • Ensure compliance with Tugende’s policies and maintain accurate records.
