Job Description
The Relationship Officer acquires new customers and manages existing loan portfolios, ensuring timely loan disbursement and repayment. The role involves conducting market visits, processing loan applications, performing due diligence, and maintaining accurate records. The officer also monitors collections, manages arrears, and prepares regular reports while adhering to compliance standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- • Minimum 1 year experience in loan processing, customer acquisition, or banking services
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- • Ability to assess creditworthiness and manage risk
- • High level of integrity, honesty and teamwork

Responsibilities
- • Identify and approach potential customers within the assigned area
- • Promote loan products and develop a pipeline of new customers
- • Receive, process and verify loan applications and supporting documents
- • Conduct background checks, assess repayment ability and ensure compliance with lending procedures
- • Explain loan terms, maintain accurate loan records and provide statements to customers
- • Monitor repayments, follow up overdue accounts and arrange payment plans
- • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports and maintain proper documentation
- • Follow all lending policies, maintain confidentiality and report any irregularities
