Job Description
The Field Technician will provide 24/7 on‑site support for network infrastructure, assisting with installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of telecom equipment. The role involves monitoring equipment, handling inventory, and supporting incident resolution while adhering to company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (CCNA, Cisco, MikroTik and Fiber Optic certifications desirable)
- • Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and MPLS
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Provide 24/7 field assistance, including on‑call and weekend support
- • Monitor equipment and facilities proactively
- • Assist with network installation, testing, commissioning and integration
- • Perform cross‑connects, jumping and equipment bench testing
- • Maintain records, inventory, and spare parts management
- • Receive equipment, conduct bench tests, and handle RMA returns
- • Support incident and problem resolution as directed by NOC/TAC
- • Provide Service Desk coverage when required
- • Assist the Service Manager and Programme Manager with technical and shareholder support tasks
- • Drive company vehicles and adhere to all safety and policy guidelines
