Job Description
The Country Representative for the American Red Cross leads the national humanitarian programme, builds partnerships with government and NGOs, and oversees the delivery of disaster response and community resilience initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, or a related discipline
- • Minimum 5 years experience in humanitarian or development programmes
- • Strong leadership, negotiation, and public‑speaking abilities
- • Fluency in English and excellent written communication skills

Responsibilities
- • Represent IFRC in the country and act as the primary liaison with national Red Cross societies
- • Coordinate humanitarian programmes and emergency response activities
- • Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, donors, and partners
- • Oversee programme planning, budgeting, and implementation
- • Lead fundraising and advocacy efforts
- • Ensure compliance with IFRC policies and standards
