Job Description
The Transportation Supervisor manages the company's vehicle fleet and driver team, ensuring safe, compliant and cost‑effective operations across multiple locations. The role oversees licensing, route optimisation, maintenance coordination and regulatory compliance while providing regular performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND degree or equivalent
- • Minimum 5 years experience managing transport, fleet or logistics operations
- • Proven leadership and team‑management abilities
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili
- Chinese language proficiency is a plus
- • Demonstrated ability to handle compliance, cost control and operational planning
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the company’s vehicle fleet and driver team
- • Ensure all vehicles maintain up‑to‑date licences, permits and compliance with Kenyan transport regulations
- • Plan and optimise transportation routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- • Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and manage related documentation
- • Monitor safety standards and enforce compliance with road‑safety regulations
- • Prepare and present regular reports on fleet performance, costs and compliance
