Job Description
The Senior Programme Manager leads the design, implementation, and monitoring of immigration and border governance initiatives across the region. Reporting to the Deputy Regional Director, the role coordinates closely with thematic specialists and partner agencies to achieve programme objectives. Responsibilities include budgeting, reporting and stakeholder engagement to ensure effective outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Advanced degree in International Relations, Migration Studies, Public Policy or related field
- • Minimum 5 years experience managing development programmes, preferably in immigration or border governance
- • Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage complex projects
- • Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills
- • Proficiency in programme management tools and MS Office suite

Responsibilities
- • Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of immigration and border governance programmes
- • Coordinate with the Senior Regional Thematic Specialist and other departments to align activities
- • Manage programme budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation
- • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders
- • Prepare and present programme performance reports to senior leadership
- • Ensure compliance with IOM policies and donor requirements
