Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in delivering laboratory and scientific equipment projects from tendering through commissioning and handover. Responsibilities include reviewing technical specifications, preparing tender submissions, coordinating with manufacturers and clients, and overseeing installation activities. The role requires strong commercial awareness and technical understanding of analytical instrumentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND, Diploma, MBA/MSc/MA or equivalent degree in Engineering, Technical or a related field.
- • Minimum four years of relevant professional experience in technical tendering or equipment projects.
- • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage project lifecycles.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Review tender documents, Bills of Quantities and detailed technical specifications.
- • Interpret technical specifications to identify compliant equipment.
- • Prepare technical tender submissions and coordinate with manufacturers.
- • Support project coordination with clients and end users throughout the project lifecycle.
- • Assist in managing installation, commissioning and handover of laboratory and analytical equipment.
