Job Description
The Business Development Manager will expand the bank’s lending and trade‑finance portfolio across Nairobi and Mombasa by acquiring new SME and corporate clients and deepening existing relationships. They will manage credit portfolios, monitor arrears, and drive debt‑recovery initiatives while delivering working‑capital solutions. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field and 5–8 years of experience in banking, micro‑finance or financial services. Strong analytical, negotiation and relationship‑management skills are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Economics or a related field.
- • 5–8 years experience in banking, micro‑finance or financial services.
- • Proven experience in lending, credit analysis, business development and debt‑recovery.
- • Practical experience in Trade Finance and Import Finance.
- • Demonstrated ability to manage portfolios and meet business and recovery targets.
- • Strong analytical, negotiation, relationship‑management and communication skills.
- • Experience in debt collection and recovery is an advantage.
