Job Description
The CBE Anchor Teacher will deliver English and Creative Arts lessons aligned with the competency‑based curriculum, fostering communication, creativity and critical thinking among learners. They will develop schemes of work, lesson plans and instructional materials, applying active‑learning and inquiry approaches. The role also involves integrating core competencies and contemporary issues into teaching, and supporting learners’ literacy and artistic development. Collaboration with colleagues and engagement with parents are essential components of the position.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field from a recognised institution
- • Registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC)
- • Completion of CBE training for Anchor Teacher and Early Years positions
- • Minimum of five years’ relevant teaching experience
- • Demonstrated knowledge of competency‑based teaching and assessment methods
- • Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills

- • Facilitate the development of learners’ listening, speaking, reading, writing and communication skills
