Job Description
The Chartered Accountant will manage purchase accounting, oversee procure‑to‑pay processes and control organisational spend. Responsibilities include maintaining the purchase ledger, reconciling invoices, ensuring compliance with policies and providing analytical insights to support procurement decisions. The role requires a professional accounting qualification and strong financial reporting skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Chartered Accountant qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA) or equivalent professional accounting certification.
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in purchase accounting, P2P or spend control functions.
- • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting and internal controls.
- • Proficiency with ERP/financial systems such as SAP, Oracle or similar.
- • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities
- • Manage purchase accounting activities, including recording and reconciling supplier invoices and purchase orders.
- • Oversee the procure‑to‑pay (P2P) cycle to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
- • Monitor and control spend, analysing variances and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
- • Prepare and review financial statements and reports related to procurement and expense management.
- • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and audit standards.
- • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to improve processes and resolve discrepancies.
