Job Description
The Commercial Broiler Farm Manager will oversee a 20,000‑bird unit, managing flock nutrition, housing conditions and health programs to achieve target growth and feed conversion ratios. They will lead a team of farm attendants, enforce strict biosecurity measures and coordinate deep‑cleaning and turnaround activities between cycles. Detailed record‑keeping and performance reporting will be essential for monitoring productivity and efficiency. The role requires on‑site residence for the full production cycle.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Degree or Diploma in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health & Production, Animal Science or a related field

Responsibilities
- • Manage brooding, feeding, lighting schedules and water distribution for 20,000 broilers to meet target harvest weight and feed conversion ratio
- • Operate curtain systems and cross‑ventilation fans to maintain optimal shed temperature and prevent heat stress
- • Conduct daily uniformity checks, crop‑fill sampling during early brooding and weekly weight sampling
- • Implement and oversee vaccination, deworming and water sanitation/medication programs
- • Perform post‑mortem examinations on mortalities, diagnose pathology and take corrective action
- • Enforce biosecurity measures including vehicle disinfection, footbaths, protective gear and access controls
- • Supervise and schedule five farm attendants, allocating tasks for feeding, litter turning, drinker sanitation and mortality collection
- • Train staff on animal welfare, proper bird handling and biosecurity hygiene
- • Lead deep cleaning, litter removal, pressure washing, disinfection and pest management between production cycles
- • Ensure house pre‑heating, drinker line flushing and equipment testing are completed 24 hours before chick placement
- • Maintain daily flock logs of feed, water intake, mortality, culls and environmental conditions
- • Prepare end‑of‑cycle performance reports covering feed conversion ratio, mortality percentage, average live weight and European Production Efficiency Factor
