Job Description
The Communications Manager leads the execution of the communications strategy, coordinating with the Head of Communications and in‑country leads to produce funder‑focused materials and digital content. They manage partner relationships, co‑branded communications, and maintain the organization’s social media channels. The role supports Girl Effect’s fundraising objectives across Kenya.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field
- • 4 years experience in marketing, communications or related roles
- • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement communications strategies
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Lead day‑to‑day delivery of the communications strategy in partnership with the Head of Communications
- • Serve as primary contact for in‑country communications leads and partner communications teams
- • Produce funder‑facing materials, updates and assets for diverse audiences
- • Create social and event‑related content for global convenings, executive engagements and digital platforms
- • Own the content calendar and manage community engagement on LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube
- • Ensure the digital estate remains current and aligned with brand standards
