Job Description
The Consultant will act as a senior thought partner to the Director of Digital Economy, shaping portfolio strategy, program quality and investment decisions across AI, platform economies and digital innovation in Africa.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • MBA, MSc, MA or PhD/Fellowship in a relevant discipline
- • Twelve years of relevant experience in digital economy, AI or related fields
- • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing large‑scale digital programs in Africa
- • Strong analytical, research and stakeholder engagement skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Advise on portfolio strategy, program quality and emerging risks in AI and digital platforms
- • Lead design of a Pan‑African AI initiative, including thesis, target populations and implementation roadmap
- • Provide technical and programmatic quality assurance for investments and partner proposals
- • Support country and thematic teams to integrate AI‑enabled approaches into program design
- • Strengthen the Digital Economy function across agrifood, entrepreneurship and climate platforms
