Job Description
The Financial Controller leads the finance function for Sysmex East Africa, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting and regulatory compliance for the in‑vitro diagnostics business. They manage a team of accountants, ensure accurate month‑end close and provide strategic financial insight to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred
- • Minimum 5 years experience in financial control or senior accounting roles
- • Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax law and IFRS
- • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel
- • Excellent analytical, leadership and communication skills

- • Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports
- • Oversee budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- • Ensure compliance with local GAAP, tax regulations and corporate policies
- • Manage cash flow, treasury activities and banking relationships
- • Lead, mentor and develop the finance and accounting team
- • Coordinate internal and external audits and implement corrective actions
