Job Description
The Head & Neck (OHNS) Consultant will deliver comprehensive ENT clinical care, perform a range of surgical procedures and lead the department's clinical and academic activities. Responsibilities include supervising junior staff, participating in multidisciplinary teams and driving research initiatives. The role demands a specialist medical qualification and extensive surgical experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Medical degree and specialist registration in Otolaryngology (ENT)
- • Minimum 5 years of experience as an ENT consultant in a hospital setting
- • Proven surgical expertise and competence in a broad range of ENT procedures
- • Commitment to teaching, research and continuous professional development
- • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Provide comprehensive ENT clinical care, including diagnosis and treatment of head and neck conditions
- • Perform surgical procedures such as tonsillectomies, sinus surgeries and airway reconstructions
- • Supervise and mentor junior doctors, medical students and allied health staff in the ENT department
- • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to departmental protocols
- • Lead research initiatives, publish findings and support training programs within the hospital
