Job Description

The Human Resources Consultant will conduct a comprehensive review of Edpack's HR structure, policies and employee records, delivering actionable recommendations within a one‑month engagement. The consultant will strengthen recruitment, performance management, attendance and leave controls, and develop practical HR documentation and dashboards. Collaboration with the Director and management team ensures alignment with operational needs and supports the company's growth in flexible packaging manufacturing. Successful delivery may lead to further consultancy opportunities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Demonstrated practical HR experience handling significant employee populations and production environments
  • • Proven ability to design and implement HR policies, procedures and controls
  • • Experience with recruitment, performance management and employee‑relations
  • • Membership in a professional HR body is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • • Review existing HR structure, practices, documentation and controls
  • • Audit employee contracts and personnel records
  • • Establish organized employee‑record systems
  • • Assess manpower requirements, staffing structures and reporting relationships
  • • Develop and refine job descriptions and responsibilities
  • • Strengthen recruitment, interviewing, selection and onboarding processes
  • • Implement effective attendance, leave, lateness, absenteeism and overtime controls
  • • Create practical HR policies and procedures
  • • Enhance employee performance management and accountability frameworks
  • • Develop measurable KPIs for key positions
  • • Strengthen probation and appraisal processes
  • • Establish disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • • Advise management on employee‑relations matters
  • • Review labour productivity and control unnecessary overtime costs
  • • Build HR data and management reporting tools
  • • Support recruitment of operational and management personnel
  • • Coach supervisors and managers to improve people‑management skills
  • • Identify and train an internal HR resource for day‑to‑day operations
  • • Transfer HR systems, tools and knowledge to the internal team
