Job Description
The Lead People Partner will act as a strategic HR business partner for M‑KOPA Solar, driving talent acquisition, employee development and organizational effectiveness across the company’s operations in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred)
- • Minimum 5 years experience in HR business partnering, preferably in a fast‑growing tech environment
- • Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour regulations and HR best practices
- • Excellent interpersonal, coaching and change‑management skills
- • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cultural initiatives

- • Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives
- • Lead talent acquisition initiatives, including sourcing, interviewing and onboarding
- • Design and deliver learning and development programs to build employee capabilities
- • Provide coaching on performance management, employee relations and career progression
- • Analyze HR metrics and recommend actions to improve engagement and retention
- • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and company policies
