Job Description
The Local Market Representative will develop the irrigation market in Kenya by identifying and cultivating relationships with farms, dealers and distributors. Responsibilities include promoting irrigation products, gathering customer requirements and reporting market intelligence to the Chinese headquarters. The role requires strong communication skills, local market knowledge and the ability to work independently.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Based in Kenya and willing to travel locally to meet customers
- • Good command of English communication skills
- • Preferred experience in agriculture, irrigation or B2B sales
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop potential customers in Kenya, including farms, irrigation dealers, agricultural distributors, irrigation contractors and agricultural companies
- • Visit local farms, agricultural markets and potential business partners
- • Introduce and promote irrigation products such as sprinklers, rain guns and drip‑irrigation systems
- • Collect customer requirements and market information and report regularly to the China headquarters
- • Follow up with potential customers and assist headquarters with quotations, negotiations and order follow‑up
- • Maintain accurate customer information and sales activity records
