Job Description
The MEAL Officer supports HelpAge International’s programme monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities across its network. The role designs data collection tools, analyses results, and ensures that programme outcomes are documented and shared with stakeholders. Strong analytical and communication skills are required to promote evidence‑based decision‑making.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, public health, or related field
- • At least 3 years experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning within development projects
- • Proficiency in data analysis software and reporting tools
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for programme activities
- • Design data collection tools, conduct surveys, and gather qualitative and quantitative information
- • Analyse data, produce reports, and present findings to programme teams and donors
- • Ensure accountability mechanisms are in place and that beneficiaries’ feedback is incorporated
- • Support learning by documenting best practices and lessons learned for continuous improvement
