Job Description

The MEAL Officer will design and implement monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning frameworks for global programmes, ensuring evidence‑based decision making. They will provide technical guidance, conduct assessments, and produce clear reports for donors and stakeholders. The role also involves capacity building and fostering a culture of learning and transparency.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Significant experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning within international development or humanitarian organizations
  • • Advanced knowledge of MEAL principles, theory of change, indicator development and MEL planning
  • • Proven ability to design and implement M&E frameworks, tools and data collection methods
  • • Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills
  • • Experience coordinating donor reporting and producing evidence‑based narratives
  • • Knowledge of accountability mechanisms, feedback and complaint handling
  • • Excellent facilitation and training delivery skills
  • • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑specialist audiences

  • • Coordinate and provide technical input into the development and implementation of robust M&E frameworks and tools for global programmes and advocacy initiatives
  • • Support teams in defining indicators, setting baselines and tracking outcomes
  • • Conduct monitoring, evaluation, rapid needs assessments and reporting processes
  • • Ensure programmes are evidence‑based and incorporate feedback from older people
  • • Facilitate learning, transparency and continuous improvement across the organization
  • • Provide technical advice on MEAL principles, data collection methodologies and analysis
  • • Produce clear, evidence‑based reports and narratives for donors and stakeholders
  • • Deliver MEAL training and capacity‑building events for staff and partners
