Job Description

The Packaging Technician operates and monitors packaging and aluminium cap‑capping equipment on a beverage production line, ensuring product integrity and compliance with safety standards. Key duties include setting up machinery, performing routine checks, recording production and quality data, and collaborating with production, quality control and maintenance teams to minimise defects and downtime. The role requires a technical diploma and 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in packaging or beverage manufacturing, with strong attention to detail and knowledge of food‑safety regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Packaging Technology, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, Production, or a related field.
  • • 2–4 years of hands‑on packaging experience in a beer, brewery, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • • Proven experience operating aluminium bottle‑capping or crown‑capping equipment.
  • • Practical knowledge of packaging‑line operations, bottle handling, and sealing processes.
  • • Ability to identify capping defects, equipment faults, and quality issues.
  • • Strong understanding of production, quality, and food‑safety standards.
  • • High attention to detail and ability to meet production targets.
  • • Willingness to work in a manufacturing/production setting.

  • • Operate and monitor packaging and bottle‑capping equipment, ensuring correct aluminium cap placement and sealing.
  • • Conduct routine equipment checks and promptly report any faults.
  • • Handle packaging materials, ensuring they are correctly stocked and available for production.
  • • Maintain production, quality, and equipment records as required.
  • • Follow food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety procedures.
  • • Work closely with production, quality control, and maintenance teams to minimise defects, waste, downtime, and production losses.
  • • Keep the packaging line clean and organized.
