Job Description
The Premix Plant Operator manages automated mixing and batching processes for veterinary pharmaceutical and animal‑feed products, ensuring precise formulations, quality compliance, and safe operation of PLC‑controlled equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • 2–4 years experience operating automated mixing, batching or blending plants, preferably in veterinary pharmaceutical, animal‑feed or food‑processing sectors.
- • Strong knowledge of PLC control systems (SCADA, HMI panels).
- • Mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills for pumps, gearboxes and pneumatics.
- • Ability to work shifts in a fast‑paced industrial environment and handle machinery safely.
- • Precise technical communication and accuracy in measuring trace elements.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Program, monitor and operate PLC‑controlled mixing machinery and automated weighing scales to exact formulations.
- • Perform daily pre‑start inspections, weighbridge calibration, and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues on conveyors, mixers and bagging systems.
- • Oversee micro‑ingredient batching, conduct physical and sieve tests, and prevent cross‑contamination in line with WHO cGMP guidelines.
- • Maintain electronic production logs, record ingredient tonnages and manage inventory through company software.
- • Enforce safety, environmental and occupational health protocols
- uphold cleanroom standards (ISO 14644‑1).
- • Identify process‑optimisation opportunities to improve blending flow, reduce dust and waste, and recommend equipment upgrades.
