Job Description
Professors (Grade 3) in AI – Machine Learning will lead teaching and research activities at Kenya‑AIST, shaping the curriculum and advancing scholarly work in machine learning. The role includes supervising graduate students, securing research funding and publishing in top venues. The position is based in Kenya.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or a related discipline
- • Strong publication record and experience obtaining research funding
- • Demonstrated ability to teach at university level
- • Expertise in machine‑learning algorithms, data science and AI applications
- • Ability to develop innovative curricula and assessment methods
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Design and deliver AI and machine‑learning courses for undergraduate and postgraduate programs
- • Conduct original research and publish in reputable journals and conferences
- • Supervise master’s and PhD students in their research projects
- • Secure research grants and develop industry collaborations
