Job Description
The Regional Protection Officer will coordinate protection activities across the designated region, ensuring the safety and rights of migrants are upheld. The role involves assessing protection needs, providing case management, and collaborating with partners and authorities. The officer will also contribute to policy development and reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • University degree in International Relations, Law, Social Sciences or related discipline
- • Minimum 3 years’ experience in migration, humanitarian or protection fields
- • Knowledge of international protection standards and frameworks
- • Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills
- • Ability to work in multicultural and high‑pressure environments
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Assess protection needs of migrants, asylum‑seekers and vulnerable groups
- • Provide case management, counseling and referral services
- • Coordinate with government agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders on protection matters
- • Conduct field assessments, monitoring and follow‑up visits
- • Prepare protection reports, documentation and data analysis
- • Contribute to the development of protection policies and guidelines
