Job Description
The remote CNC/ CAM Programmer will develop and optimise machining programs, translating design specifications into efficient G‑code for production. Collaboration with engineers and production planners ensures manufacturability while maintaining high quality standards. The role requires strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
- • Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC/ CAM programming for metal or composite parts
- • Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) and understanding of G‑code
- • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop and optimise CNC programs for machining operations using CAM software and G‑code
- • Collaborate with engineers and production planners to translate design specifications into manufacturable code
- • Perform simulation and verification to ensure toolpath efficiency and part quality
- • Maintain documentation of programs, tool libraries and machine settings
- • Provide remote technical support to machine operators and troubleshoot machining issues
- • Continuously improve processes by evaluating new machining strategies and software updates
