The Repair Technician installs, maintains and repairs renewable energy equipment, ensuring reliable and safe power solutions for customers across Kenya. The role involves troubleshooting system faults, performing routine inspections, and documenting service activities while adhering to safety standards. Strong technical aptitude and customer service skills are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or technical certificate in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field
- • 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in equipment repair or maintenance
- • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites
- • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Install, commission and repair renewable energy systems such as solar panels and inverters
- • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance visits
- • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical faults and resolve issues on site
- • Maintain accurate service records and update maintenance logs
- • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
- • Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations
- • Coordinate with supply chain to obtain parts and schedule service appointments
- • Support continuous improvement by reporting recurring issues and suggesting solutions
