Job Description

The pre‑sales and after‑sales engineer will provide technical support for solar PV, energy storage, and inverter solutions, including site surveys, capacity calculations, and system design. They will prepare detailed technical proposals, single‑line diagrams, and bills of materials, and guide customers through installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing. Post‑installation, the engineer will deliver remote and on‑site support, troubleshoot equipment issues, and produce performance and service reports. The position requires a minimum of three years’ experience and a relevant engineering

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Automation, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • • Minimum three years of relevant industry experience in pre‑sales engineering, installation, commissioning, or after‑sales technical support for solar PV, energy storage systems, inverters, or related electrical equipment.
  • • Valid EPRA licence (T2, T3, or other recognised electrical industry certification).
  • • Strong knowledge of the local solar PV, energy storage, and inverter market and major brand differences.
  • • Good understanding of design and operating principles of grid‑tied, off‑grid, and hybrid solar‑plus‑storage systems.
  • • Familiarity with inverters, lithium batteries, BMS, PCS, EMS, PV modules, and AC/DC distribution equipment.
  • • Ability to conduct site surveys, capacity calculations, equipment selection, system configuration, installation guidance, commissioning, acceptance testing, and fault diagnosis independently.
  • • Proficiency in reading and preparing electrical single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and system architecture drawings.
  • • Skilled in using electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation resistance testers.
  • • Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and applicable solar PV and energy storage installation standards.
  • • Strong technical communication, analytical problem‑solving, customer training, and technical report‑writing abilities.

Responsibilities

  • • Provide pre‑sales technical support for solar PV, energy storage, and inverter products, including requirements analysis, site surveys, capacity calculations, product selection, system configuration, and technical proposal preparation.
  • • Support the sales team with customer technical meetings, product demonstrations, technical consultations, project tenders, and preparation of technical documentation.
  • • Design grid‑tied, off‑grid, and hybrid solar‑plus‑storage solutions based on load profiles, consumption, site conditions, and application requirements.
  • • Provide technical guidance during installation and oversee system commissioning, trial operation, acceptance testing, and customer training.
  • • Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving inverters, energy storage batteries, BMS, PCS, EMS, PV modules, and electrical distribution systems.
  • • Deliver remote and on‑site after‑sales technical support, promptly addressing equipment failures, system alarms, and customer technical issues.
  • • Conduct regular equipment inspections and system performance analyses, recommending maintenance, upgrades, and performance improvements.
  • • Prepare and maintain technical proposals, single‑line diagrams, bills of materials, commissioning records, acceptance reports, and after‑sales service reports.
  • • Evaluate major solar PV, energy storage, and inverter brands, comparing specifications, functionality, compatibility, performance, and applications.
  • • Collect customer feedback and recurring fault information, coordinating with manufacturers and internal teams to resolve issues and support product improvements.
