Job Description
The Collection Officer for SME (Biashara Loans) will manage loan repayment collections, maintain client relationships and support the micro‑finance operations of Phoenix Capital across its branches in Kenya. The role includes assessing loan applications, monitoring repayment schedules and ensuring compliance with credit policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Minimum 2 years of experience in loan collection or credit management
- • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Finance, Business Administration or related field
- • Good knowledge of micro‑finance products and regulatory requirements

- • Collect loan repayments from SME clients and update account records
- • Conduct follow‑up calls and visits to ensure timely payments
- • Assess new loan applications and verify client documentation
- • Maintain accurate client files and reporting on collection performance
- • Provide customer service and resolve client inquiries related to loans
- • Support branch teams in achieving collection targets and credit risk objectives
