Job Description
The Swimming Coach/Teacher will plan and deliver swimming lessons for students across the Aga Khan Schools, ensuring safe and effective instruction that develops technique, fitness and confidence in the water. The role includes organizing sessions, monitoring progress, and maintaining pool safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Certified swimming instructor qualification (e.g., Level 2 or equivalent)
- • Minimum 2 years experience teaching or coaching swimming
- • Current first‑aid and water‑safety certification
- • Ability to work with children and adolescents in an educational setting
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Design and deliver age‑appropriate swimming lessons and training programmes
- • Conduct pool safety checks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- • Monitor and assess swimmers’ progress, providing feedback and individualized coaching
- • Maintain equipment, manage pool schedules and keep the facility clean and organized
- • Communicate with parents, teachers and school staff regarding student performance and goals
- • Provide first aid and emergency response as needed
