Job Description
The Quality Assurance Specialist will lead the Food Safety Management System for One Acre Fund, ensuring compliance with BRCGS and FSSC standards across all manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include developing procedures, conducting internal audits, and guiding the organization through certification processes. The role demands a strong background in food safety and the ability to train staff on best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Engineering or a related discipline
- • Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing and food safety management
- • Proven expertise with BRCGS and/or FSSC certification processes
- • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and regulatory food safety standards
- • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Lead and maintain the Food Safety Management System in line with BRCGS/FSSC standards
- • Develop, implement and update food safety procedures, SOPs and work instructions
- • Conduct internal audits and gap analyses to prepare for certification
- • Train manufacturing staff on food safety practices and regulatory requirements
- • Coordinate with external auditors and manage certification timelines
- • Monitor corrective actions and ensure continuous improvement of food safety performance
