Job Description
The consultant will redesign and develop Sightsavers' website to improve user experience, accessibility and performance across multiple countries. Responsibilities include assessing the current site, creating wireframes and visual mock‑ups, and implementing the new design using modern web technologies. Ongoing testing and optimisation will ensure a seamless experience for all users.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Computer Science, Graphic Design or a related field
- • Minimum 3 years of experience in website redesign or front‑end development projects
- • Proven portfolio demonstrating responsive design, UX/UI and accessibility best practices
- • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and content management systems
- • Ability to work independently and manage project timelines

- • Assess the current Sightsavers website and identify areas for improvement in design, usability and performance
- • Develop a comprehensive redesign plan, including wireframes, visual mock‑ups and technical specifications
- • Implement the new website using modern web technologies while ensuring accessibility standards are met
- • Coordinate with content creators, translators and IT staff to migrate and optimise content
- • Conduct testing, quality assurance and post‑launch monitoring to guarantee a seamless user experience
