Job Description
Responsible for operating the self‑propelled harvester to efficiently harvest tea while maintaining product quality and safety standards. The incumbent conducts daily inspections, performs basic fault diagnosis and coordinates maintenance activities. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to ensure reliable machine performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Class C and G driving licence
- • Certificate in Plant Operations or an equivalent recognised qualification
- • Experience operating self‑propelled harvesters and tractors
- • 2–3 years of relevant operational experience in mechanised tea harvesting or agricultural plant operations
- • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Operate the self‑propelled harvester safely and efficiently to harvest tea
- • Ensure optimal harvesting productivity and maintain green leaf quality, harvesting rounds, and recommended creep height
- • Conduct daily machine inspections, pre‑start and handover checks
- • Perform basic fault diagnosis and report maintenance needs in coordination with mechanics
- • Support preventive maintenance to keep equipment reliable and compliant with company policies
