Job Description
The IT Officer will maintain and support the factory’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable servers, networks, and end‑user devices. They will provide first‑ and second‑line technical assistance to staff and oversee network security, data backup and disaster recovery. The role also involves deploying enterprise software, managing user accounts and supporting audio‑visual collaboration tools. Collaboration with the Helpdesk and NOC managers is essential to sustain operational excellence.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in IT, Computer Science or a related field
- • Minimum 3 years experience in IT support or systems administration
- • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server administration and endpoint management
- • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively
- • Good communication and teamwork skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Manage and maintain local IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and endpoint devices across the Kenya office
- • Provide first‑ and second‑line technical support to Kenya‑based staff, resolving issues promptly
- • Ensure network security, perform regular data backups and test disaster recovery procedures
- • Coordinate system monitoring, uptime and incident response with the NOC manager
- • Deploy and manage enterprise software, user accounts and access permissions
- • Support audio/video conferencing and collaboration tools for the office
- • Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory
