Job Description
The Registered Nurse III provides comprehensive nursing care in a community health setting, delivering clinical services such as maternal health, immunisation and disease prevention. Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and implementing nursing interventions, and educating the community on health matters. The role requires a valid nursing licence, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a multi‑ethnic environment. Compliance with national health regulations and computer‑based record keeping are also essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Kenyan citizenship
- • Diploma in Community Health Nursing or Midwifery
- • Valid registration and practising licence from the Nursing Council of Kenya
- • Commitment to constitutional values and ability to work in a multi‑ethnic environment
- • Good interpersonal and communication skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing interventions and patient outcomes
- • Deliver integrated management of childhood illness, family planning, immunisation, PMTCT and antenatal care services
- • Provide health education and counselling to patients and the community
- • Refer patients to appropriate services as needed
- • Maintain accurate patient records and utilise computer applications for documentation
