Job Description
The Operator will run the Acid Regeneration Plant, monitoring process parameters and ensuring safe, efficient production of regenerated acid and iron oxide. Responsibilities include start‑up, shutdown, routine operation, record‑keeping and compliance with environmental and safety standards. The role requires strong attention to detail and knowledge of chemical handling.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • KCSE (or equivalent secondary education)
- • Minimum 3 years experience operating chemical or process plants
- • Knowledge of chemical handling, process safety and environmental controls
- • Strong safety consciousness and meticulous attention to detail
- • Basic computer literacy with Microsoft Word and Excel
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Operate and monitor the Acid Regeneration Plant and associated equipment according to approved procedures
- • Observe and record process parameters, equipment conditions and plant performance
- • Report any abnormalities that require technical attention
- • Perform plant start‑up, normal operation and shutdown activities safely
- • Track the movement of spent acid, regenerated acid and iron oxide through each process stage
- • Maintain accurate production, process and shift‑hand‑over records
