Qualifications & Requirements
- • Master’s degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Public Health or related field
- • Proof of current PhD registration (first year) at a recognised university
- • Demonstrated ability to publish in peer‑reviewed journals or present at scientific meetings
- • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- • Commitment to work in Kilifi County for the duration of the studentship
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Conduct laboratory experiments and field data collection related to malaria research
- • Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, RT‑PCR, sequencing and cell culture
- • Analyse data using statistical software and bioinformatics tools
- • Prepare scientific reports, manuscripts and conference presentations
- • Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams and supervise junior staff
- • Maintain research documentation and ensure compliance with ethical standards
