Job Description
The Relationship/Loan Officer will acquire new clients for revolving credit facilities and promote the organization’s loan products. They will assess customer needs, process applications, conduct credit appraisals and manage loan disbursements while maintaining strong relationships. Ongoing portfolio monitoring, collection activities and compliance reporting are also key responsibilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field
- • Minimum two years experience in micro‑finance, SACCO, banking or credit operations
- • Experience managing revolving credit products is desirable
- • Strong knowledge of credit appraisal and loan processing
- • Proven sales and portfolio‑growth experience
- • Good understanding of debt collection and recovery processes
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital lending systems
- • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within assigned territories
- • High integrity, attention to detail and strong communication skills

- • Receive, verify and process loan applications and documentation
- • Prepare loan documentation and facilitate disbursements
- • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- • Educate clients on loan terms, repayment obligations and financial literacy
- • Monitor loan utilization, portfolio performance and repayment schedules
- • Follow up on overdue payments and manage delinquent accounts
- • Achieve assigned loan disbursement and collection targets
- • Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare regular performance reports
- • Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis
- • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- • Represent the organization professionally in the market
