Job Description
The Director of Physical Planning leads the development and implementation of land‑use strategies for Kisumu County, ensuring that zoning, development proposals and planning policies align with regional growth objectives. The role involves managing a planning team, coordinating with government agencies and stakeholders, and providing strategic recommendations to senior officials.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography or a related field
- • Minimum 7 years experience in physical or urban planning, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role
- • Professional registration with the relevant planning authority is preferred
- • Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills
- • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic planning frameworks
