Job Description
The Laboratory Technologist delivers high‑quality laboratory services by processing samples, maintaining equipment and ensuring accurate test results within Penda Health’s primary‑care network. The role includes quality control, stock management and detailed reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma, Higher Diploma or BSc in Medical Laboratory Science
- • Current registration with KMLTTB
- • Minimum 3 years experience in a busy laboratory setting
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Collect, prepare and process samples for a variety of laboratory tests following established protocols
- • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
- • Participate in quality‑control procedures to guarantee accuracy and timeliness of testing
- • Monitor laboratory stock levels, generate monthly orders and ensure proper storage of supplies
- • Record and interpret test data accurately within the Electronic Medical Records system
- • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing test results and findings
- • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain a positive work environment
