Job Description
The Chief Financial Officer provides strategic financial leadership for Torq Commodities, overseeing budgeting, reporting, and risk management across the organization. The CFO ensures compliance with regulatory standards, optimizes cash flow, and supports decision‑making through accurate financial analysis. Leadership of the finance team and collaboration with senior management are key components of the role.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred
- • Minimum 8 years of progressive finance experience, including senior management roles
- • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills
- • Proven track record in financial leadership within commodities or a similar industry
- • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

- • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy and long‑term planning
- • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow analysis
- • Ensure compliance with tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements
- • Oversee treasury functions and working‑capital management
- • Conduct financial risk assessments and implement mitigation measures
- • Supervise accounting, payroll, and internal audit activities
- • Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions
- • Manage relationships with banks, investors, and external auditors
- • Mentor and develop finance team members
