Job Description
The Credit Controller will manage insurance and corporate debtor accounts for Pearl Hospital, ensuring timely collections and minimizing overdue balances. Responsibilities include reconciling accounts, negotiating payment terms and preparing collection forecasts. The role requires strong analytical abilities and familiarity with hospital billing processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Credit Management or a related field
- • Minimum of three years’ experience in credit control or accounts receivable within a hospital setting
- • Proven track record in medical insurance and corporate debt collection
- • Strong knowledge of hospital billing and insurance claim processes
- • Excellent reconciliation, negotiation and communication skills

Responsibilities
- • Follow up outstanding payments with insurers and corporate clients via calls, emails and meetings
- • Reconcile debtor accounts and resolve disputed, rejected or short‑paid claims
- • Monitor ageing reports and implement recovery actions for overdue balances
- • Negotiate payment commitments within approved terms and document agreements
- • Collaborate with billing and clinical teams to address documentation and claim issues
- • Prepare weekly collection reports, cash forecasts and account updates
- • Achieve collection targets and escalate delinquent accounts as needed
