Job Description
The Plumber Journeyman will interpret building plans and install, maintain, and repair piping systems in residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities include cutting, threading, bending, and fitting pipes of various materials, as well as testing system pressure and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role requires a solid understanding of plumbing codes and the ability to work with hand and power tools.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma in Plumbing or related technical field
- • Minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience in pipe installation and maintenance
- • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and pipe‑bending equipment
- • Knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and pressure testing procedures
- • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Responsibilities
- • Study building plans and drawings to determine required materials and installation sequence
- • Mark pipe locations and cut openings in walls and floors using appropriate tools
- • Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required dimensions and angles
- • Assemble and install valves, fittings, and pipe sections of metal, plastic, and other materials
- • Join pipes using screws, bolts, solder, solvent, or mechanical joints
- • Fill the system with water or air and test pressure gauges for leaks
- • Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, and garbage disposals
