Job Description
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safe loading, transport and inventory handling within the Q‑Sourcing Servtec Group warehouse in Lamu. The role includes operating forklift and related equipment, maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards. It is a remote position with a focus on logistics operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Minimum D+ in KCSE or equivalent vocational qualification
- • Valid Forklift Operations and Safety certificate
- • Valid driver’s licence
- • At least three years’ experience operating forklifts in a busy manufacturing environment
- • Certificate in Automotive Engineering is an advantage
- • Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Load and unload warehouse goods using forklift equipment
- • Transport materials to designated locations within the facility
- • Optimize loads to improve operational efficiency
- • Secure loads to machines before movement
- • Inspect forklift before use and complete required documentation
- • Schedule and coordinate forklift maintenance and repairs
- • Operate additional equipment such as manual/electric stackers
- • Manage inventory following warehouse standards and FIFO procedures
- • Identify safety hazards and implement corrective actions
- • Adhere to production schedules and safety management standards
