Qualifications & Requirements
- • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) finalist or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a college or public education institution
- • BA/BSc/HND degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- • Proficiency in computer applications and QuickBooks
- • Knowledge of IPSAS reporting and ERP systems
- • Membership in the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) is an advantage
- • Certificate of good conduct and compliance with relevant legal provisions
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Verify vouchers and committal documents in accordance with institutional guidelines
- • Capture data and post entries to cash books, ledgers and primary record books
- • Prepare and submit banking information for institutional payments
- • Ensure compliance with IPSAS reporting standards and ERP operations
- • Maintain accurate financial records and support audit processes
- • Monitor and reconcile account balances and transaction histories
- • Produce regular financial reports for management review
- • Uphold ethical standards, including good conduct certification and constitutional compliance
