Job Description
The Forklift Driver operates a warehouse forklift to safely load, unload, and stack goods, supporting efficient material flow within the packhouse. Responsibilities include conducting pre‑operation checks, maintaining accurate movement records, and adhering to safety protocols. The role requires a valid forklift licence, physical stamina, and attention to detail. Candidates should possess a diploma or equivalent and relevant operating experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or KCSE certificate (or equivalent)
- • Valid forklift operator licence as required by Kenyan regulations
- • 2–3 years of relevant forklift operating experience preferred
- • Physically fit with ability to lift and manoeuvre loads safely
- • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Operate a forklift safely to load, unload, move, and stack goods in the packhouse
- • Perform daily pre‑operation inspections and report any mechanical issues
- • Maintain accurate records of goods received, moved, and dispatched
- • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures while handling materials
- • Assist with stock‑taking, warehouse organization, and inventory checks
- • Report accidents, near‑misses, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor promptly
